We're Ready For Stitches West

Stitches West here we come! With the help of our very generous friends and family, we have all our goodies packed up into one Big-Ass Truck to haul it the few short miles to the Santa Clara Convention Center. On board are loads of yarns from Dream in Color, Lorna's Laces, Rowan, Manos del Uruguay, Mountain Colors, and more, as well as spinning wheels and accessories, and beautiful fiber. Be sure to stop by our booths 640 & 740 this weekend.

We'll have swag and sundries - different items for different days - to give away. Be sure to come meet the Knitmore Girls, Jasmin and Gigi on Saturday from 2-4pm. They'll have even more goodies to give away.

Late Night Knits Tonight

It's that time again. Tonight is Late Night Knits. The shop will be open until 11pm for your knitting/crocheting/spinning/crafting pleasure. We'll be watching "The Importance of Being Earnest" at 8pm.

Not My FO

My hands are not cooperating. A pinched nerve in my neck (C5) has been causing me pain in my right arm, so I'm not knitting at all for a couple of weeks. With the recent cold weather, though, my hands have been freezing, and would you believe that I don't own a single pair of handknit mitts? I implored my beloved husband to knit me a pair. I chose some lovely Shibui Merino Alpaca in a color that matches my life. He finished the first yesterday and the second today. They're a modified version of the Glen Fingerless Mitt, but knit in 2x2 rib. They fit like, um, a glove and are keeping my hands nice and warm. Thank you so much, sweetheart!
